Cape Fear Flyers is a 100% volunteer run USATF sanctioned, AAU affiliated, 501c3 non-profit providing athletes ages 6-18 of all socio-economic levels a safe, affordable, team-centric environment enabling them to foster and sustain competitive excellence, interest, and participation in track & field, cross country, and race-walking while teaching them proper technique to maximize speed, flexibility, and agility.

Our 2024 track and field season will started on March 18, 2024 at UNCW 6 - 7:30pm. If you missed our first practice it is okay you can still join us.  We are very excited that the AAU Junior Olympics are in Greensboro in July and hope we can have many athletes representing. We are going to practice on Monday (UNCW) and Wednesday (Coastal Christian HS) evenings, with optional trail runs on Saturday in Carolina Beach State Park, when we don't have meets.

Club registration is $185 for the season and will include a uniform top. 

Scholarships are available for athletes who may need assistance to participate. Please see the information below.

Your athlete can still come try our program out before you register them but they must have a completed practice waiver to participate at practice. The waivers are an online form linked below.

If you decide to apply for financial assistance so your athlete can participate please fill out this form and return to the club at info@thecapefearflyers.com with support documents asked for and the club will get back to you with a code to use for registration.

Saturday, December 2, 2023 was a rainy day in Tallahassee, FL..

After 2 hours of delays on a muddy flooded course in the rain 10 Cape Fear Flyers competed in a total of 6 races

5 Medals were earned by Coach Barbara Bass, Sadie B., Jack P., Exie M., and Finn M.

For the third year in a row Coach Barbara finished first in the Womens Open/Master 5K. She is National Champion and an All-American

We are so proud of all our runner who pushed through some rough conditions and gave it their all at this meet.

Thank you to the parents and coaches who traveled and helped make the meet possible.
