Cape Fear Flyers is a 100% volunteer run USATF sanctioned, AAU affiliated, 501c3 non-profit providing athletes ages 6-18 of all socio-economic levels a safe, affordable, team-centric environment enabling them to foster and sustain competitive excellence, interest, and participation in track & field, cross country, and race-walking while teaching them proper technique to maximize speed, flexibility, and agility.

Our 2024 cross country season will started on August 19, 2024 at Veterans Park Picnic Shelter #2 (behind Anderson Elementary). If you missed our first practice it is okay you can still join us.  We will practice Monday and Wednesday evenings at Veterans Park, with optional trail runs on Saturday mornings in Carolina Beach State Park, when we don't have meets.

Club registration is $125 for the season and will include a club shirt.

Scholarships are available for athletes who may need assistance to participate. Please see the information below.

Your athlete can still come try our program out before you register them but they must have a completed practice waiver to participate at practice. The waivers are an online form linked below.

Start the morning with a Youth XC meet, part of the USATF NC Youth  Cross Country Grand Prix Series, 8&u run 2k, 9-10 & 11-12 run 3K, 13-14 run 4K. 15-18 run 5K A 5K trail run, open to anyone who wants to join, in Carolina Beach State Park to celebrate Great Trails State Day and raise money for young runners.
